Ek Balam is a huge surprise! This relatively unknown site on the Yucatan Peninsular is not very popular with Tourists, so most of the time you will have the site to yourself. It's also has very impressive, well preserved buildings and monuments, that are surprisingly complete. All in all this site is better preserved then Chichen Itza! There are also wonderful reconstructions on the way that look very promising and very well executed.
